Approximately 400 employees and 20 managers work at the prison, managing, leading, and developing the operations. The largest professional group is prison officers, but the prison also employs administrative staff, educators, production leaders, service technicians, and more. The prison accommodates over 350 inmates who are engaged in activities such as education, treatment programs, other structured activities, or work within the prison.
At Hall, we prioritize a health-promoting work environment and offer, among other things, a staff gym to use during breaks and even in your free time. There are also various exercise trails nearby. You can walk or run in the area right next to Hallfjärden and have access to a sports hall, a recovery room with a massage chair, and a library.
The prison, located just outside Södertälje, is accessible by bus from Östertälje. If you drive, you can park for free in our staff parking lot. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The prison's HR department is a support function for the prison management and all employees. As the prison has grown, the work has taken on an even more central role as the need for support to the departments and coordination has become increasingly important.
As an HR officer, you will assist the prison management with various personnel-related matters and questions to achieve the operational goals, maintain a good work environment, enable present leadership, and work for uniformity within the operational area. You will also have contacts and collaborate with personnel from other professional groups both internally and externally.
The tasks are broad and involve both operational and strategic work within areas such as systematic work environment management, competence supply, recruitment, salary issues, rehabilitation, investigative and difficult conversations, as well as interpretation of laws and agreements. Other tasks within the HR area will also be included in your assignment, such as handling incidents, ordering employment certificates, producing various materials, and information and documentation. In addition, you will work with your manager and your closest five colleagues to organize work and processes within the HR area.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who collaborates well with others and has the interest, willingness, and ability to help others. You take responsibility for your tasks, are loyal, communicate clearly, and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You understand linguistically complex materials and can produce your own documents.
It is important for us that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in people's willingness and ability to develop. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in HR, behavioral science, or personnel science, or another higher education that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
- Experience in similar work as management support or HR generalist.
- Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in the Office suite (Excel and Word).
It is an advantage if you have:
- Good knowledge of work environment, recruitment, competence supply, salary formation, rehabilitation, and labor law.
- Experience in investigative work, preparation processes, and case management.
- Experience working in public service.
- Experience working in the Heroma system.
- Experience in salary formation within the state.
